Artist Files Online (AFO)

Requirements

You need an Internet Web Browser and an Internet connection in order to use the AFO OnLine Web Database.

The compatible browsers are Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Safari.

As each resume is shown separately, a faster connection will enable more rapid "flipping through the pages".

In order to easily read the resumes, which appear in the same format as they appear on paper, it is preferable to have a large, high-resolution monitor. On smaller monitors at lower resolution with larger font sizes, you will have to scroll a lot to read some resumes.

The quality of printing of head shots is dependent upon the characteristics of your printer. The quality in any case is marginal, in the interests of rapid use and reduced costs of the system.

It is important to make sure that your browser is configured to get newly changed documents from the network each time. Otherwise, rather than present you with a new list of actors, it may redisplay a previous list.

• In Netscape this is set via the Edit, Preferences, Advanced, Cache setup dialog. In the lower right middle is a section entitled "Document in cache is compared to document on network", with three radio buttons for selection. You should select "Every time", then close the Preferences dialog.
• In Explorer this is set via the Tools, Internet Options, General, Temporary Internet Files, Settings dialog. Check "Every visit to the page", then click "OK" to close the dialogs.
